POND PLANT BIO:
The Variegated Spider Lily is a stylish plant perfect for brightening up dark corners of your pond or water garden! The deeply grooved leaves grow up to 18″ in length and work together with the green and white variegation to break up predictable planting schemes and look fabulous with dark blue blooming plants. Fragrant star-shaped flowers typically bloom in spring to early summer on strong, leafless stems. Each stem produces clusters of white spidery flowers, up to 10 flowers per stem, for a very showy floral display! If planted in moist marshy conditions, it may form a colony with its runners, but you can divide clumps after flowering or start from seed in warm water. In northern zones, winter indoors as a houseplant. If allowed to chill or slightly dry during the winter this bulb will drop its foliage, but the ivory edged strap leaves emerge again vigorously in the spring.
