POND PLANT BIO:
M. ringens is primarily found in damp or saturated areas like moist woods, along stream banks, pond edges, marshes, and flooded grasslands. Its non-aggressive rhizomatous roots make it adept at taking up excess nutrients, making for a healthier pond. While the bright flowers draw in a number of pollinators, but it regularly & happily reseeds. Its name is monkey flower due to the flower’s resemblance to a monkey’s smile!
NOTES FROM THE EXPERTS AT CHALILY: Our live plants are delivered as bare root plants. This means that the plant has mature, growing root structures ready to be planted. We recommend Chalily Lily and Lotus Fertilizer for all flowering aquatic plants.
