It has incredible light green heart shaped leaves that are speckled with dark purple to black markings. Mojito Taro is native to East Asia and was promoted in America as a crop alternative to potatoes. On top of its stunning foliage it will occasionally bloom pale yellow flowers that resemble spikes in the summer months. While primarily grown outdoors as an aquatic plant, this plant can also thrive as a houseplant when given a bright sunny window.
