POND PLANT BIO:
Acmella oleracea, or Lemon Drops, Plant, is an annual, flowering plant that prefers moist, well-drained, organically rich soils in full or partial sun. It has yellow to orange blooms with red centers and grows quickly while hugging the ground. The charming, colorful flowers attract fireflies, butterflies, and birds when in bloom. The leaves add a pungent flavor to salads and soups, and traditionally the blooms are chewed to numb a toothache. It can even be utilized to promote general oral health due to its antiseptic properties! An extract of the plant, sometimes called jambu, is employed as a flavoring agent in foods, chewing gum, and chewing tobacco. This distinctively beautiful and highly entertaining plant is the perfect addition to any pond!
