POND PLANT BIO:
Schoenoplectus Tabernaemontani, also known as Giant Bulrush, Great Bulrush and Softstem Bulrush is an aquatic flowering rush plant. Giant Bulrush is a very large plant, growing four-eight feet tall, and it also is a plant that likes to spread! This plant produces really unique-looking reddish-brown florets, on top of its dark green stems! Giant Bulrush loves moisture, so it does best when grown in a wet environment like your pond or water garden. It is primarily called Giant Bulrush, but it is sometimes referred to as Softstem Bulrush because its stem is very spongy, which just adds to the uniqueness of this plant! This plant is very fast growing and is a great option if you are looking for habitat reconstruction or erosion control! This unique and beautiful plant will make the perfect addition to your pond!
NOTES FROM THE EXPERTS AT CHALILY: Our live plants are delivered as bare root plants. This means that the plant has mature, growing root structures ready to be planted. We recommend Chalily Lily and Lotus Fertilizer for all flowering aquatic plants.
